Digging with a Dinosaur
The Misfits return to Death Valley, armed with an ancient 40-ton bulldozer, to dig their first open cut mine. The Cheals race summer storms in a last ditch attempt to rescue their disastrous season. Tensions flare among the Opal Whisperers.

No Risk, No Reward
In the final week of the season, high temperatures are shutting down machines and pushing the miners to their limits. Struggling to set up their new open-cut mine, the Blacklighters take a chance on mining at night. The Young Guns search for black opal in Lightning Ridge, but a torrential storm forces them to work on a series of flooded dirt roads. The Bushmen risk it all in a dangerous area vandalized by opal thieves.
