Kay and Mike cope with raising three high-IQ children.

The Talk
After giving their kids "the talk," Mike and Kay start to overthink their own sex life and turn to Rita and Irwin for advice. Meanwhile, Brian and Nicole fear they are behind when they realize neither of them has had their first kiss.

Grandparents
Mike's parents, Jay and Sylvia, visit from Florida. Mike's insecurities come out when Jay zones in on his parenting style, and Kay becomes jealous of Sylvia's growing bond.

Bad Guy
When the kids propose the idea of moving out of the house, Kay forces Mike tell them no, but he has trouble dealing with the backlash.

Dating
When Nicole invites a boy over who isn't ideal boyfriend material, Kay tries to make sure her daughter doesn't end up with a broken heart. Meanwhile, Mike attempts to understand Marc's strange crush.

Bullying
Mike and Kay look into a charter school for Marc, after he is brought into the principal's office for bullying his teacher. However, Kay fears Marc's chances of getting accepted might be ruined due to her own bullying past.

Failing
After realizing that Nicole has never failed at anything she's ever tried, Mike and Kay devise a plan to teach her about failure so she is equipped to handle it later in life. Meanwhile, after losing to Marc in a game of chess, Brian turns to Leila for some play time.

Couple's Friends
After realizing they have lost most of their adult friends since having kids, Mike and Kay try to befriend Beth and Sigmund, parents from Brian and Nicole's school. Meanwhile, Marc tries to find a sense of humor.

Black Mold
When the basement has to be renovated, keeping Mike and Kay from their safe space, the kids get together and hatch a plan to help them get away for the night. As a result, Nicole and Brian are left to babysit, which they realize is not as easy as their parents make it seem.

Royal Rumble
When Mike and Kay get caught in a lie about Leila's birthdate, they offer to throw her a party with a theme of her choice, but have trouble keeping their ideas to themselves. Meanwhile, Brian, Nicole and Marc try to come to terms with the news that Rita and Irwin would be their guardians should something happen to Mike and Kay.
