Norman tells Rodney that Steven Cord has returned to Peyton Place, and Steven reports that their grandfather believes Catherine was innocent of murder. Rodney runs into Allison at the university and confesses that he wanted to stay with her the night she invited him home. Claire admits to Dr. Morton that she is married. Betty allows Reverand Bedford to take her home after an altercation with Miss Choate prompts Rossi to scold her for insubordination.
