Polterguests (1999)
Annie Mendelssohn has a dream: to open her own hotel. And she's found the ideal premises - a charming, yet dilapidated old church in the back of beyond. But the dream is about to turn into a nightmare when Annie's nine-year-old daughter, Ella, stumbles upon a motley trio of ghosts already ensconced in the crypt. Fortunately, the ghoulish threesome Sir Squiffington-Fopp, Tristan Shout and ‘Kneecaps' McNugget turn out to be an amicable bunch, so much so, that when Annie runs out of cash to hire staff, Ella suggests hiring their phantom friends to give them a hand. Welcome to the country's one and only haunted hotel - ghostly hosts, hot and cold running ectoplasm, prompt tomb service and the spookiest staff this side of Halloween.
