Sameli Nelihanka returns home for his mother's funeral. He has to face his father Rouku Nelihanga and his former lover, Sara Poikkipää, whose father's murder Sameli was in prison for.

Sara inherits her father's land from Brita. At the same time, Sara finds out that Pieti is her half-brother. Rouku tries to destroy the testament so that Brita's wish will not be fulfilled.

Velka
Samel and Aghmo's debts are growing and the only option is to borrow money from Stagge, the leader of the underworld of the ice sea port.

Sameli does a job for Stagge and Sara decides to help. Rouku exposes Järvarna's plans to the police. He wants to crush his son.
