In 2002, when 5-year-old Samantha Runnion is playing with a friend in front of their homes in Stanton, Calif., a man appears and snatches Samantha, dragging her into his car; the race is now on to find her and the man responsible.

Women are being murdered in Washington County, Ore.; a serial killer is one step ahead of the police, and the community lives in fear; after more bloodshed, residents discover that the brutal killer has been living in plain sight all along.
