Episode 1
When Sean doesn't return from his morning surf, police presume he has drowned in the riptide, but his wife Alison can't shake the possibility that something else might have happened to him. With her stepson Ethan, ex-husband Michael, Sean's ex-wife Rachel, and her daughter Hannah's friend Logan all keeping secrets, her instincts might turn out to be right.

Episode 2
Alison's suspicions rise when she learns that Ethan argued with Sean on the beach just before he was presumed to have drowned, and she decides to report him to the police. Meanwhile, Hannah becomes worried that Logan might know more than he is letting on.

Episode 3
Realising that Alison is determined to investigate Sean's disappearance, Dan decides to take action. Later, Alison discovers Michael is in possession of the watch Sean was wearing on the morning he disappeared, and she informs the police, much to Hannah's horror.

Episode 4
Dan continues to make inroads into Alison's life. Meanwhile, Hannah vows to find her father and clear his name. Just as Alison hits rock bottom, Dan presses his advantage, spiriting Alison to a mountain getaway and suggesting they both start a new life elsewhere.

The Rookie
The Rookie is inspired by a true story. John Nolan is the oldest rookie in the LAPD. At an age where most are at the peak of their career, Nolan cast aside his comfortable, small town life and moved to L.A. to pursue his dream of being a cop. Now, surrounded by rookies twenty years his junior, Nolan must navigate the dangerous, humorous and unpredictable world of a "young" cop, determined to make his second shot at life count.
