The Lakes
In the first episode of this new series, Rory goes in search of the very best view in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Along the way he learns some important survival skills, and tries out the aphrodisiac qualities of Grasmere gingerbread before taking a barefoot stroll with a foxy shepherdess. Luckily when he reaches the home of Beatrix Potter his impersonation of a sheepdog has them flocking…

South Wales
Today Rory Bremner's mission to find the best of British views sees him in South Wales. At Cardiff Castle he finds the interior decor jaw dropping. Rory takes a walk through Welsh history at an open-air museum, and on the Gower Peninsula he turns his hand to some new skills, surfing, archery and ice-cream making – inventing his own new flavour - Knickerbocker Rory.

York
Rory's mission to find the best of British views takes him to York, where he takes a ride on a bus with two fast talking sisters, it's a double act on a double decker. And later, he's a waiter. He serves up a storm at a famous tearoom, until he hits trouble with a fondant fancy. Later he drops in for a pint at a haunted pub but his spirits rise after a visit to York Minster.

Cheddar Gorge
Rory's mission to find the best of British views takes him to Cheddar Gorge. On a visit to a local cider maker he gets an eyeful and a skinful! He finds a lot to shout about in the town of Wells when he becomes a town crier. He goes on safari at Longleat where he has a lunch date with a gorilla and ends his day getting all cheesy as he tries his hand at making Cheddar.

Oxford
Rory visits Oxford where he gets a very early start - messing about on the river in the company of two Olympic gold medalists. In the oldest shoe shop in Oxford he puts his best foot forward as he tries his hand at shoemaking. His jaw drops when he experiences the splendour of Blenheim Palace but when he goes on the trail of Inspector Morse he gets a clue as to what will be his favourite view.

The Peak District
Today Rory's mission to track town the best of British views finds him in the Peak District National Park. He goes on a Sidecar Safari along the beautiful country roads. He visits an underground cavern sparkling with Blue John. Tries his hand at spinning at the Arkwright Mill and learns all about the brave sacrifice of the villagers of Eyam.

Blackpool
Today Rory Bremner's mission to find the best of British views takes him to the Vegas of the North – Blackpool. He goes to the top of the Tower for a panoramic view of this seaside resort. In the Tower Ballroom he gets a surprise visit from an old dancing partner. And he braves the Big One, but will the view be worth it?

Cornwall
Today Rory's mission to find the best of British views finds him on the Cornish Coast. He splices the mainbrace on an early morning Sea Safari. He drops in on his old friend Rick Stein for a seafood feast. He messes around with boats at the National Maritime Museum and visits the beautiful and atmospheric tidal island of St Michael's Mount

Bath
Today Rory's search for the best of British views takes him to the beautiful historic city of Bath. He takes a trip back in time taking the waters at the Roman Spa. He gets his hands on some tasty Bath buns before setting out to trip the light fantastic with the Jane Austen Dancers. It's Strictly a performance for those not of a nervous disposition….

North Wales
Today Rory's quest to find the best of British views finds him on the beautiful coast of North Wales. After taking the tram to the top of Great Orme in Llandudno he is (literally) blown away by the view! He finds himself behind bars at Beaumaris Courthouse but escapes in time for a tour of the splendours of Penrhyn Castle. Finally he auditions for a Welsh male voice choir and makes quite an impression…

Brighton
Today Rory's mission to track town the best of British views finds him on the South coast in a classic seaside resort - Brighton. In the company of some diehard bathers he takes a quick dip around a long pier. He takes a stroll down the picturesque Lanes where he gets a Mod makeover. Later he takes a peek into a Regency home with a Royal connection then goes round in circles on Brighton pier in search of the best view.

Edinburgh
Today Rory Bremner's mission to find the best of British views takes him back to his home town, Edinburgh. He gets the view of a lifetime from the top of the Forth Bridge. He tries a kilt on for size offering the locals quite a view. He takes a tour of the darker side of the city with best selling author and local lad Ian Rankin and visits the famous castle where he gets a wake up call from Edinburgh's top gun…

Bodmin
Today Rory's mission to find the best of British views finds him in Cornwall and the atmospheric Bodmin Moor. He helps out down on the farm but gets banged to rights at Bodmin Court House and Jail. He takes a look at life upstairs and downstairs in the beautiful surroundings of Llanhydrock House. And shakes a leg (and a stick) with some colourful characters in a local group of Morris dancers.

Cotswolds
Today Rory's search for the best of British views takes him to the stunningly beautiful Cotswolds. He gets up steam on a picturesque local railway. He climbs Broadway Tower for an amazing panoramic view of 15 counties. In beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water he visits a perfumer who tries to make him irresistible to women, but all he attracts is a load of old trout at the local fish farm!

Northumberland
Today Rory's quest to find the best of British views finds him on the ruggedly beautiful coast of Northumberland. He visits the picturesque town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and takes a look at the three famous bridges. Later he gets as busy as a bee at a local honey farm before taking a tour of Chillingham Castle where he gets trapped in the dungeon.

Liverpool
Today Rory's mission to track town the best of British views finds him in Liverpool. He visits Liverpool Cathedral where he tries his hand at bell ringing. And whilst attempting to impersonate Ringo at the birthplace of the Beatles he nearly gets drummed out of town. After a tour of the picturesque town of Port Sunlight he takes a trip on that world famous Ferry in search of the iconic view of Liverpool.

Warwickshire
Today Rory Bremner's mission to find the best of British views takes him to Warwickshire. He gets a real bird's eye view of the countryside when he tries his hand at falconry. On a trip to the picturesque town of Stratford-upon-Avon he gets all classical on stage at the Royal Shakespeare Company. And at Warwick Castle, he winds up his trip with a medieval weapon that flings great balls of fire.

North Yorkshire Coast
Today Rory's mission to find the best of British views sees him on the ruggedly beautiful coast of North Yorkshire. He warms up on a vintage steam bus in Whitby but later gets the chills on a vampire trail. At an ex-POW camp there's no escape so he has to Dig for Victory. And in Scarborough a group of diehard swimmers try to talk him into a bracing dip in the North Sea.

Scottish Borders
Today Rory's search for the best of British views takes him to a place very close to his heart, the Scottish Borders. He tries his hand at fly-fishing but can't even catch a cold. His attempt to make tweed the old fashioned way gets him tied up in knots. And at a world champion haggis makers, he's told not to give up the day job.

London
Today Rory's quest to find the best of British views finds him in the nation's capital, London. In a city with so many famous sights he has his work cut out to find the best. Along the way he goes to the top of the Shard, gets up at the crack of dawn to try his hand at eel wrangling, takes the Dickens of a tour of Victorian London and goes behind the scenes at the most famous clock in the world.
