A litter of orphaned wild dogs seeks acceptance from the pack leader while under the watchful eye of the vet team. Meanwhile, an endangered chuckwalla beats the odds, and a 44-year-old orangutan gets a complete physical ahead of the zoo's biggest birthday bash of the year.
Grumpy Cat
An Asian takin calf hangs on for dear life after being rejected by its herd, and a very grumpy tiger arrives at the Columbus Zoo, letting its new keepers know it's in no mood for fun. Additionally, the zoo attempts to make reptile history by incubating rare turtle eggs.
Flock of Flamingos
It's springtime in Columbus and time to hit the great outdoors. An ornery ostrich refuses to get its shots, while a pregnant rhino prepares to give birth. Also, a beloved nanny goat fights for its life after a sudden illness.
King of the Jungle
Staff members at Columbus Zoo and The Wilds are counting down the days until spring. In the meantime, they have their hands full with an adorable koala that's losing weight for some unknown reason, and a routine exam on a beloved lemur takes an unexpected turn.
Duckumentary
This week at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, a duck with a swollen leg and two endangered species are given new leases on life under the gentle care of the zoo vets. Additionally, a beaver's overgrown teeth are brought down to size.
Dancing With the Devils
Iconic Australian animal arrivals make quite an impression with their unexpected screeching. Also, a rare mountain goat birth is observed as keepers hike and crawl over fences and bushes to bear witness. Separately, 10 deer fawn babies are born, and while not only cute, their arrival helps to preserve this near-extinct species of deer fawn.
The Otter Limits
This week, the team teaches baby otters to swim before they make their television debut. Meanwhile, a cougar's future gets brighter with some expert eye care, and zookeepers watch a newborn giraffe to ensure it hits three key growth milestones.
Mandrill of the House
An older monkey shows its true colors during a dental exam. Teamwork is critical as a gigantic bison gets a physical, and a rambunctious young deer's leg injury needs expert attention. Also, the barn at the Wilds provides refuge to mother antelope and newborn calf until the mom's hoof injury heals.
Big Bear Theory
After a series of health mishaps, the zoo's beloved sloth finds its mate. The team also helps an armadillo get its groove back, which then resumes its role as one of the cutest animal ambassadors. Lastly, there's a behind-the-scenes look at how the zookeepers wrangle a herd of rare donkeys into the barn for its annual check-up.
Cheetah Play Date
This week at the Columbus Zoo, the team provides special care to one of the staff favorites, an elderly mandrill. Additionally, they meet an adorable red panda that steals their hearts and spend time working with a fast, smart cheetah. Lastly, two of the zoo's own "grumpy" cats receive some high-tech assistance in the baby-making department.
