Isabel de Bastidas arrives at the Villarica fortress with her son while on their way to the Extremo Sur. She'll soon find out that the war between Spaniards and the Mapuche will make it impossible for them to continue on their journey.

Isabel is determined to get out of Villarica. Her efforts will prove fruitless until an unforeseen event opens up a possibility for her to escape.
