When Detective Martin arrives at a crime scene where a shooting has taken place, he gets the shock of his life. One of the victims of the shooting is an acquaintance of his. A criminal of the old order, but also a father figure to Martin. Shortly after the murder, someone contacts him. There must be room for a new criminal generation with different rules: if you don't cooperate, you get a bullet.

The police find a murdered detective. A special team from outside is assigned to the case. When Rob and Rachid patrol together for the first time, they drive straight into every police officer's nightmare. Tarik discovers that the murdered detective was corrupt. That puts everything and everyone on edge. Willem tries to convince Martin to join Dwight's organization.

Martin lies to those closest to him out of self-defense. But not every lie goes unnoticed. Under pressure from Dwight, Willem continues to push Martin: what is the name of the key witness? When Martin discovers that name, he finds out that passing on the name will cost him dearly. He loses control and anxiously tries to regain control.

Noura finds herself losing Martin more and more and tensions between them continue to rise. Henk's funeral takes place, but this is brutally disrupted by Dwight's men. Rachid is interrogated by Judith, who puts a lot of pressure on him. Tarik pushes the interrogation of a key witness to Martin. During the interrogation, the witness comes up with information that could endanger Martin's life.

Tarik and Martin visit the address that Frits gave to Martin. The resident appears to be a familiar face. Noura and Gülsah take on Judith, each with their own ammunition and motives. The list of corrupt cops adds fuel to the fire and Martin has to do everything he can to be the first to get his hands on the list. When Martin doesn't show up for an appointment with Dwight, Dwight decides to leave a clear message.
Inferno
Martin and Noura spend the day in the hospital waiting for Max to wake up. A wave of violence ensues and Martin is left powerless. In the end he sees a way out to erase all traces that lead to him. Willem and Martin go looking for Dwight to settle the score. Tarik makes a discovery that could destroy Martin's double life forever.
