Somos Oro - Season 1
Season 1
Episodes
Cualquier pendejo puede.
After one of the worst days of their lives, and tired of struggling to keep their families afloat, Marilú - a hairstylist- and her best friend Vanessa -a saleswoman working at a department store- meet up at their usual bar to drown their sorrows. Drunk, they decide to take control of their destiny: they will proclaim themselves entrepreneurs and launch a fraudulent pyramid scheme.
Amigas hasta la muerte, amigas eternamente.
Vanessa and Marilú follow the advice of business guru Gina Sánchez-White. They find their product, a homemade shampoo concocted by Marilú's mother. They name their company "GoldenLife" and recruit saleswomen. The opening event doesn't go as expected, thanks to Lalo and the thugs he owes a fortune to. This endangers not only the business, but also the friendship between our protagonists.
A veces una la caga.
Vanessa and Marilú's friendship is on the rocks. Both friends are miserable, until Lalo and Daniela hatch a plan to help them reconcile. Determined to revive GoldenLife, they turn to Yvette, who ridicules them. In revenge, they decide to poach Conchita, her best saleswoman. Easier said than done. Finally, the girls manage to relaunch GoldenLife and the money they always dreamed of starts to flow.
Lo que no te mata te hace mejor... vendedora.
Vanessa and Marilú, now with a solid team and sales on the rise, decide to organize a motivational retreat for their recruits. Confidently, they embark on a journey that ends up being an unmitigated disaster. After a lot of sweat and tears, Vanessa and Marilú believe they have barely scraped through the catastrophic retreat, until someone leaks a video that unleashes even more problems.
Caras vemos.
Barely walking free, Marilú and Vanessa try to suss out whoever reported them, while they dodge investors demanding their money. They question their associates and come up with nothing, which only drives up their paranoia. Someone finally confesses, but the company is done. Defeated, the friends go to their usual bar, where they get an invitation from the founder of TurboLife, Rodrigo T. Guevara.
Si no puedes contra ellos, vende.
On their weekend with Guevara, Marilú wants to sell but Vanessa wants a partnership. Meanwhile, the sales team and Daniela plan how to save the company. Guevara is charming, he pitches a grand plan and the girls decide to sell. When they inform their associates, they all refuse: without GoldenLife, they're noting. Marilú and Vanessa understand, and they all come together to defend their business.
La unión hace la fuerza.
With Guevara as their enemy, Marilú and Vanessa try to enlist Yvette to their cause. Together, they sneak into the set of Gina Sánchez-White's show, where they pitch their business. Gina rejects them publicly, but privately agrees to invest. The girls are now in the big leagues. But at their crowning moment, they discover they have an unexpected partner who will switch things up for them.
