Stunt Double Final Assembly, Part 1
This show is all about the 73-87 Square body GM trucks as Stacey jumps into final assembly on the Stunt Double. This means loading the chassis with new brake and fuel lines, fuel tanks, exhaust system, and other upgrades in preparation to bolting the cab back on. Then, it's a trip to LINE-X to coat the bed and bumpers for heavy duty use. After that, Stacey jumps into a search and rescue build on a new Jeep Gladiator. If you like old or new, it doesn't matter, because it's all on Gearz!
Scrambler Gets a New Engine
There's no question that Jeep has made some iconic vehicles in their time. Stacey takes on the legendary Jeep Scrambler and breathes some new life into this barn find! With the engine holding about as much water as it did oil, it's time for an engine swap! But what engine? Follow Stacey as he takes you through his decision-making process and the crate motor build up for the Scrambler. Then, as with every episode this season, Stacey has a new upgrade for the Jeep Gladiator. How about a simple face lift? It's all here on Gearz!
Scrambler Gets a New Interior
Stacey takes the Search and Rescue Jeep Gladiator one step further by adding some heavy-duty bumpers and winch. Then, he rolls in a classic '81 Jeep Scrambler and shows what a difference a seat upgrade can make. He also addresses a major issue with open top vehicles: security... an issue that is easy to address by adding the proper lock boxes. All this and more on Gearz!
V8 Interceptor Payoff
This is the show that people have been waiting for, because it's finally time to take the mighty V8 Interceptor for a rip down the road! But first, we walk you through everything that went into this massive, ground up build and showcase all the details of building a one-of-a-kind, level 5 project. After that, it's on to the test drive, that just gets crazier and crazier when a surprise visitor from Mayberry shows up and tries to set us straight! It's a car like you've never seen, with a payoff you could never imagine... and it's only on Gearz!
Bedwood & Droptops
Need to Put some wood in your truck bed? Follow along as Stacey lays down the lumber on the custom bed of the Snowcat! Got a Gladiator and want to drop the top and get some fresh air? No problem, Our Gladiator build will show you just how quick and easy it is to install a full soft top. And for all you guys out there that like to shift your own gearz, Stacey talks single clutch versus dual disk clutches and which one you might want for your ride. It's all here, this week on GearZ.
The Joe Maphis Guitar
It's hard to think about hot rods and not have a cool music track fill your mind. Hot guitar solos and spinnin' tires just seem to go together! Without a doubt some of the most famous hot rod guitar work came from a guy by the name of Joe Maphis, who laid down the smoking guitar on Hot Rod Lincoln! Tag along as Stacey takes you on a different kind of barn find and documents the restoration of a one of a kind guitar-owned by the "King of the strings" himself, and a fitting tribute to his legacy. After that, we'll add some much needed cargo space to our Gladiator build, and dig into the world of manual transmissions… so much… so little time!
Scrambler Paint Revive
Everybody knows that painting a project vehicle takes a whole lot of time and money. Follow Stacey as he revives a 40-year old paint job on the barn find Scrambler! You won't believe how much life that old paint has left in it! All it costs is an afternoon and some quality buffing compounds and equipment. It'll make you think twice about repainting your project. After that, the Search and Rescue Gladiator build grows up with a lift from Skyjacker—this Jeep is starting to get serious now! We've also got tips, tricks and plenty more on GearZ!
On the Road - '57 Chevy
You never know who you're going to run in to while they are in the middle of a restoration project. Stacey takes the crew "On the Road" to meet two gear heads who have had amazing careers in music and share a bond over a particular '57 Chevy pickup. It's a great story that you won't want to miss. Back in our own garage, the Gladiator gets some tasty meats and a new set of wheels—And you know Stacey is gonna take those tires bigger! So, we better take a look at replacing those stock brakes as well. We're loaded up with plenty of tips and tricks on GearZ!
Stunt Double: Bed, Body & Beyond
We're seeing double in the Gearz Garage! Stunt Double, that is. This amazing square body is coming together! Tag along as Stacey preps the bed with fender flairs, a roll bar and some blazing spotlights to keep that "Fall Guy" look with a modern twist. The front fenders are next, and you can really see this truck take shape! Then it's on to the Gladiator build and we're gonna light the place up and make sure our search and rescue rig can see in the dark. We've got tech advice and new products to show and it's all right here on Gearz!
Stunt Double Engine
Square Body trucks are just about the hottest thing on the restoration market these days and our Stunt Double is no exception! But being a hot project isn't the same as sweating in your cab or having your engine overheat, so tag along as Stacey upgrades the AC and the cooling system to make sure this square body stays cool under the hood and behind the steering wheel. And speaking of getting frosted… nothing kills your good time like returning to your Jeep and seeing that your stuff has been stolen! Stacey has a fix for that too. Follow along as the Gladiator build get some new security boxes. We're keeping things cool on this episode of Gearz!
Stunt Double gets a face
It's no coincidence that when you look at a vehicle you see a face. The headlights, bumper and grille are all key elements that add personality to each car and truck. Stacey shows how to layout and even change the face on your project by rolling in an ‘86 Chevy truck and showing all the parts and options available. It's like a giant aftermarket parts buffet where you ultimately decide how you want your truck to look… and when the smoke clears, the Stunt Double ends up with a unique grille, bumper and headlight treatment. After that, we roll in the Gladiator Search and Rescue jeep to give it an Insane audio and navigation upgrade… along with plenty of great tech pieces and cool new products to see as well.
Blue Moon over Cheetah
The Cheetah is back from paint! It's not an illusion… you don't need to adjust your television set the fastest cat on the planet is back! Stacey is going to tell you all about what it took to get this beautiful beast back in the Gearz garage. In case you get lost in the magnificent Blue Moon candy paint, Stacey will be able to find you with our Gladiator search and rescue build, as he ties the project in with S.A.R.D.U.S.—Search and Rescue Dogs of the United States. This episode is going to keep you howling at the moon!
That's a Wrap!
There is no better way to wrap up this season of Gearz than to put a wrap on our Search and Rescue Gladiator build. Over 13 episodes, 13 modifications were made to this Jeep to turn it into something ANY outdoors person would love, and Stacey takes us through the build one last time before we let this Gladiator leave the garage. But with every project that leaves, a new one finds its way in and a ‘73 Ford F250 holds plenty of promise as Stacey introduces the newest build… Blue Steel!
