Thatcham

Neighbours turn out to surprise 91 year-old Joyce Lovelock, who has been collecting for the British Legion Poppies appeal for 55 years. Joyce became determined to help service personnel after her father's experiences in the trenches in WWI. Not only that, but Joyce helps out her ‘elderly' neighbours by doing their shopping and errands when they can't manage it.
Presenters Paul Martin and Irina Aggrey want to raise enough money to treat Joyce and her close-knit family to a VIP day out at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
The people of Thatcham, Berkshire, rally round and donate items - including an antique clock and earrings set with real diamonds, sapphires and rubies - to be sold at a Street Auction next to where Joyce lives.
Everyone wants to help - even Joyce - who doesn't know all the fund-raising is for her.
