Survivor: Guatemala — The Maya Empire
Survivor: Guatemala — The Maya Empire is the eleventh season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor. Sixteen of the 18 players in the game were already split into two tribes, Nakúm and Yaxhá; both tribes received one additional tribe member, Bobby Jon and Stephenie, respectively, both who had previously appeared on Survivor: Palau. Aside from the staple twists such as the double Tribal Council and the tribe switch, a new twist called the hidden immunity idol was introduced.

The 11th season begins with 16 castaways arriving in Guatemala, dividing into two tribes and immediately facing a grueling 11-mile hike through a dense jungle. "It's without question the toughest challenge we've done in any capacity," says host Jeff Probst. "It let the players know it's not going to be easy this time. Palau was a cakewalk. Guatemala is a nightmare." At tribal council, the first person is voted out.
