Survivor: Samoa
Survivor: Samoa is the 19th season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor. The season premiered on Thursday, September 17, 2009. Participant applications were due by January 14, 2009. Approximately 800 were invited to be interviewed in several states. Following this, approximately 48 semi-finalists were invited to Los Angeles in April 2009 for final interviews with the producers. From there, 20 finalists were selected to be contestants in the show, which was scheduled to occur between mid June and mid-July 2009 in Samoa. Similar to Survivor: Tocantins, the minimum age requirement for this season was 18 for most states.
On November 18, 2014, the season was released in a DVD set including all episodes and numerous special features, including unaired scenes and the Life at Ponderosa webseries. It is only made available through online purchase, manufactured by Amazon.com's CreateSpace.

The Puppet Master
The 19th edition of the series begins with 20 castaways being stranded on the South Pacific island nation of Samoa. They are immediately divided into two tribes: Galu and Foa Foa. Next, without speaking to each other, the tribe members select a chief who will make all of their decisions. At tribal council, the first person is voted out of the game.
Taking Candy from a Baby
A rugby-like game gets out of control and one player is ejected from the contest; one person is given the opportunity to make friends with the opposing tribe, but it doesn't go well. Meanwhile, Russell H. continues to disrupt life for the Foa Foa tribe. At tribal council, another castaway is voted out of the game.
It's Called a Russell Seed
A clever lie turns a tribe against one of its most harmless members. Meanwhile, at the reward challenge, the chief of one tribe makes a controversial decision that lands him in the crossfire back at camp.
Hungry for a Win
After a tribe member makes a stunning revelation, the game of one determined castaway may be changed. Meanwhile, Russell continues his game of chess when he considers ousting one of his allies.
Walking on Thin Ice
When a new power player emerges at Foa Foa, Russell desperately scrambles to regain control of the tribe.
