Season 1
Ever since Tojo University Hospital established Team Batista-a group of doctors specializing in the Batista procedure, an alternative therapy to heart transplant-the team had scored one success after another. But suddenly three consecutive operations conducted by the team end up with the death of the patients. The hospital launches an in-house investigation and sends in Kohei Taguchi, perennial professor of neurological medicine and head of the Unspecific Complaints clinic.

Ariadone no Dangan
A murder occurs inside a new MRI model in connection with the establishment of an Autopsy Imaging Centre at Tojo University Hospital which will help to determine the cause of death through the use of MRIs and CTs on any dead body. While investigating the truth, the pair of Taguchi Kohei and Shiratori Keisuke close in on the dark side of the sloppy autopsy system. Furthermore, Ikaruga Yoshimasa, the head of the Metropolitan Police's Information Office, and Associate Professor Sasai Sumire of the hospital's forensic medicine department oppose the centre's establishment.

One day, Taguchi Kohei of Psychosomatic Medicine is dispatched to Hekisuiin by the director. At that hospital the director, Sakuramiya Iwao, is working on end-of-life care. He has the trust of his patients, and has an indispensable presence in the town.
However, it was Shiratori Keisuke of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and self-proclaimed dermatologist was dispatched to Hekisuiin. When Shiratori came to Hekisuiin for the first time in a long time he meet Tachibana of radiology. After that, he mysteriously disappears leaving only the words "What have you done in this hospital is a felony.
