Canoe Slalom
In the first of a brand new series of the Adventure Show we're taking to the rapids and the stunning white water of the River Tay, near Aberfeldy. We're here for the Grandtully Premier Slalom where Scottish athletes can be guaranteed to do well. This year Olympic gold-medallist, Tim Baillie from Aberdeen, gives an expert's view on the action.

UCI Mountain Bike World Cup
Fort William is once again resounding to the sound of cheering crowds and crunching gears as the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup returns to Scotland. And there's no shortage of action, from the fast and brutal 4X to the downhill, where there's a vertical drop of 555 metres down one of the longest and toughest courses on the World Cup circuit.

The West Highland Way Race
The Adventure Show is at one of Scotland's most prestigious events, the gruelling West Highland Way race, which runs from Milngavie, on the outskirts of Glasgow, to Fort William. This 95-mile route takes most walkers a week to complete, but every year over 100 hardy runners turn Scotland's first official long-distance trail into an unforgettable ultra-marathon, with the fastest completing it in under 15 hours.

Braveheart Triathlon
The Braveheart Triathlon is exactly that. With an open water swim of over a mile, more than 50 miles on the bike and a run up and down Ben Nevis, this is not an event for the fainthearted. In this year's race, Dougie Vipond joins over 100 competitors for a day he'll remember for ever.

The Glen Coe Skyline
The rugged mountains of Lochaber provide a spectacular backdrop to one of the toughest adventure races in the world. The Glen Coe Skyline attracts a top-class international field and the Adventure Show follows competitors as they tackle a course which includes nearly 5,000 metres of ascent over terrain that many would describe as rock climbing.

Roads Less Travelled - Sutherland, Caithness and Orkney: Part 1
Scotland's best-known outdoors man, Cameron McNeish, undertakes a 150-mile journey through some of the least visited parts of our country from the southern end of Sutherland to the northern tip of the Orkney Islands.

Roads Less Travelled - Sutherland, Caithness and Orkney: Part 2
In the second part of his journey, Cameron celebrates what he triumphantly calls our 'world class landscape' as he explores lesser-known aspects of six Orkney islands. His guests include those whose families have lived here for generations to relative newcomers who have made the journey north to become part of a vibrant community.

Original Mountain Marathon 2016
This month Dougie Vipond and the Adventure Show team are back where it all began with the OMM - the Original Mountain Marathon. Nearly half a century ago, this iconic event laid the foundations for the thriving adventure racing scene we know today.

Colin Prior Mountain Man - North West Highlands
Colin Prior is one of the world's most acclaimed landscape photographers, someone who made his name with a set of panoramic images that defined wild Scotland for a generation. But, using the latest digital technology, he is attempting to capture a definitive record of three iconic mountains in the northwest Highlands. These include what many regard as our finest summit, An Teallach.
We've been following his progress, between the winter and spring equinoxes, and discover that the result of six months of work is just a handful of images.

American Pickers
This isn't your grandmother's antiquing. Hitting back roads from coast to coast, the Pickers earn a living by restoring forgotten relics to their former glory, transforming one person's trash into another's treasure. The show follows the team as they scour the country for hidden gems in junkyards, basements, garages and barns, meeting quirky characters and hearing their amazing stories. If you think the antique business is all about upscale boutiques and buttoned-up dealers, this show may change your mind – and teach you a thing or two about American history along the way.
