The Bachelorette - Season 5

Jillian Harris, the intelligent, independent, passionate woman who fell just short of her goal -- hoping that Jason Mesnick could be her best friend, soul mate and future husband on the just completed hit season of "The Bachelor" -- will have her own opportunity to find true love, as the fifth edition of the female version of the ABC's popular romance reality series.

When Jillian disappears from a sexy pool party, eight bachelors are in hot pursuit as they attempt to track her down via an outrageous scavenger hunt for the ultimate prize - a candlelit dinner and private time with the elusive Bachelorette. One man receives a "dressing down" before Jillian surprises him with her ultimate dream date: A private concert by country music super star Martina McBride. Finally, seven men face-off against the world famous Harlem Globetrotters to score points with Jillian. But after careful deliberation, Jillian must eliminate four men, as she tries to make her fairytale come true.

The ever-adventurous Bachelorette invites one man to take a leap of faith with her on a daredevil date, rappelling 33 stories down the side of a hotel. Then the Wild West is caught on film as 11 bachelors in full costume visit a Western set to shoot classic cowboy scenes, but some are more interested in rehearsing their romantic lines and screen kisses with Jillian. On another one-on-one date a bachelor is in seventh heaven when he gets an up-close look at premium vintage cars. Late that night still another man sneaks up to the mansion looking for a romantic tryst with the Bachelorette. Then two men face off before the rose ceremony when one bachelor's anger boils over. When Jillian gets down to business, some good guys will be sent home when she decides they're just not right for her.

Jillian goes home to Vancouver and the 13 remaining bachelors excitedly follow her, all anxious that they fit in with her lifestyle. In a true Canadian adventure, Jillian invites a group of the men on a competitive curling date, but only the winning team gets to join her for a romantic sunset cruise around the city of Vancouver. Kiptyn is the lucky man to receive an intimate one-on-one date and a home-cooked meal back at Jillian's place. But the dreaded two-on-one date involves two very different bachelors vying for the one rose and ends on a snow-covered mountain with one man being sent home heartbroken. However, when one of the bachelors discloses to Jillian that some of the men supposedly have girlfriends back home, she demands the truth from those bachelors, throwing the rose ceremony into turmoil.

Jillian, still stunned by the revelation that some of the men may have girlfriends, is determined not to let it destroy her strong feelings for the remaining ten bachelors. She brings them to one of her favorite Canadian vacation spots, the resort town of Whistler, to find out if the rumors are true. On an exciting one-on-one zip-trekking date that leads to a truly romantic evening, Jillian has some very serious questions to pose to this bachelor. Rose or no rose? The Bachelorette takes eight men on an exhilarating snowmobiling adventure - again, still questioning if any of these guys has someone waiting for him at home. But she seems to be the only one who isn't aware that one man is not there for the right reasons. The spectacular beauty on the top of a glacier is the backdrop for the final individual date. A playful day in the snow leads to a steamy night in the hot tub. But in a shocking surprise, one man discloses something to Jillian that totally devastates her.

The pressure mounts as Jillian must decide which five men will have the opportunity to take her home to meet their families. But first, the remaining eight bachelors are treated to an exclusive private train ride on the famed Rocky Mountaineer, traveling over 650 miles across the Canadian Rockies with breathtaking stops along the way. Roses are up for grabs on two crucial individual dates and one group date. If a bachelor does not receive a rose on the individual date, he must leave the train at the next station. The men ramp up their pursuit as the situation gets more serious, with one guy sneaking around for extra alone time with the Jillian, another putting on a spectacular display and yet another pleading to stay. It's obvious the bachelors' anxiety has reached an all-time peak, but in the end Jillian will offer her final five roses without hesitation to those lucky men.

The stakes are high as Jillian leaves her Los Angeles villa for an exciting, emotionally-charged journey across the country to visit the final five men's hometowns. Her bonds grow stronger with some of the bachelors, but she is severely tested by some of the families and questions her connections to Jesse, Kiptyn, Michael, Reid and Wes. And nothing can prepare her for what happens when an infatuated Jake returns to warn Jillian that Wes is the bachelor with the girlfriend. In one of the most dramatic confrontations in "Bachelorette" history, the two men face off right in front of her. Finally, one heartbroken bachelor returns to try and win Jillian back, but is it too late? There are no easy choices left for the Bachelorette, and now she needs to make the most difficult decision yet, as the remaining four men look forward to a romantic trip with Jillian to Spain.

As Jillian gets closer to her final decision, she sweeps the remaining four men - Ed, Kiptyn, Reid and Wes - on a grand romantic journey to Spain. As excited as she is to be with these four particular men as they explore the amazing sites and cuisine of Madrid, Sevilla and Barcelona, Jillian knows that she faces a very difficult decision to send one these bachelors home. At the end of each evening, the Bachelorette will present the man with an invitation to spend the night in a "fantasy suite," with the hope that he will accept. But will he? And will Jillian choose to stay the night.

Romantic adventures await Jillian and the final three bachelors - Ed, Kiptyn and Reid - as they travel to the tropical heaven of Maui, Hawaii for the intimate overnight dates. After finally sending Wes home despite her strong feelings for him, Jillian is confident that she has three incredible men left. The dates are not only filled with amazing sand and surf adventures, but also excitement and passion, as Jillian continues to explore what her future would be like with each of these potential mates. She is once again faced with extending an invitation to each bachelor to spend the night in a "fantasy suite." However, there may be serious repercussions to their decisions and poignant reactions to these intensely emotional trysts.

It's an explosive reunion viewers won't want to miss, as the most memorable bachelors from this season - including Kasey, Kirk, Craig R., Ty, Jonathan and Derrick aka "Shooter" - return to confront each other and Ali one last time on national television. The men will dish the dirt and tell their side of the story, discussing the difficulty of competing for Ali's affections and focus in on one of the most controversial bachelors of the season: Justin. 

In this gripping special conclusion, Jillian, the vivacious restaurant designer who began her search for love with 30 bachelors, has survived a dramatic, rocky road and found herself falling in love with two wonderful men, Ed and Kiptyn.
