Two very different families are facing the same problem, too much stuff. Pam needs to fit her life into her new one-bedroom apartment and the MacNeils must purge the family home before it can be sold. Professional organizer Jane Veldhoven is on the job and not a moment too soon.
Blood, Sweat and Tears
In The Big Downsize S1E2, Jane starts clearing a path through the years of clutter smothering the MacNeil family home and she encourages Pam in her journey towards her new life. It's time for everyone to roll up the sleeves and get to work.
Uphill Battle
In The Big Downsize S1E3, it's crunch time for both of Jane's de-cluttering households. The MacNeils are still unearthing decades of belongings and for one sibling, letting go is complicating the clean-up. Pam is having a hard time cutting back her massive collection of clothing and time is running out.
Crunch Time
In The Big Downsize S1E4, Pam is still climbing out from under her mountain of clothes and moving day is closing in. The MacNeils make a breakthrough as they connect with a collectibles dealer who loves stuff as much as they do. Jane is trying to keep everyone focused as the final push is on in both homes.
The Journey
In The Big Downsize S1E5, Pam is eager to start enjoying apartment living and her downsized life while the MacNeils find saying goodbye to a lifetime of memories is bittersweet. Jane moves on knowing her work with both households are experiences she will use to help her new clients.
