A group of diverse, down-on-their-luck people attempt to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show, featuring a modern reimagining of "Swan Lake".

Classic Tragic Love Triangle
With auditions beginning for the three lead roles -- The White Swan, The Black Swan and The Prince -- tensions begin to rise as the contestants all vie for the same parts. Gabby confronts Nick about his purposeful manipulation of the show and the producers catch Julia's husband talking poorly about their marriage. Meanwhile, Mike accidentally reveals a huge secret to Nick and the producers.

The White Swan Lives!
Monica comes face-to-face with her past when the contestants head to Chicago to watch a performance of "Swan Lake," performed by her old ballet company. Meanwhile, Nick digs deeper into Justin's family issues and makes a bold move for the sake of the show. Then, tensions continue to grow between Gabby and Brittney, and Paula leans on Mike when she starts to feel vulnerable.

Nothing But Money Shots
With the release of the first trailer for the show and a promo shoot in the works, the contestants all air their grievances over what was caught on tape. Wayne has a run-in with someone from his past who wants to use him to gain access to the show, and Nick is distracted by his visiting daughter. Meanwhile, Mike enlists Paula's help to make his ex-wife jealous and Gabby tries a dating app.

We Were Just Babies
When a trip back to Gabby and Justin's high school leads to a big emotional reveal, both Gabby and the producers are left wondering how to best move forward. Meanwhile, Nick tries his best to stage a very important conversation between Mike and Paula -- against their will. Then, Reggie works to figure out how to cope with a new development in his relationship, and Julia struggles to relate to her daughters, while they cope with the changes in their family.

I Should Have Gone to Motown
With the premiere of the show only a day away, Brittney and Simon get a surprise visit from their overbearing mother. Gabby and Brittney find common ground, while Justin and Simon grow closer. Meanwhile, the network tasks Nick with pulling together a live after-show and the men of "The Big Leap" help Reggie navigate his romantic life.

Revenge Plot
After the shocking reveal on the premiere night after-show, Gabby works with Nick to try to get revenge and create some drama for the show. Reggie tries to get back in with his former coach, so that he can have another shot at playing in the NFL, and Monica visits a shaman. Meanwhile, Paula gets some concerning news about her health, causing her to distance herself from the others, and Simon and Justin try to navigate their relationship

Big Dumb Life
With the show down a few essential cast members, Wayne decides to hold an old-fashioned lock down to bring everyone together. Justin, who is being forced to help his father in his time of need, faces much-needed reflection on their rocky relationship, and Reggie tries his best to navigate his new situation with a cocky rookie. Meanwhile, Paula figures out how to move forward with her health and Nick and Monica work on their relationship.

What Prevents Us?
With the future of Paula's health staring them in the face, she and Mike decide to take a giant leap in their relationship. Nick deals with some lingering hesitation about being vulnerable on camera, and Justin gets the opportunity to meet with a Broadway director, which causes tension in his relationship with Simon. Meanwhile, Julia's husband, Kevin, makes a shocking return.

Swan Song
With only two days to go until the big finale, the cast preps for their final performance. Nick must make the hard decision of following his brain or his heart, and Julia is stuck in a tough position when Kevin tries to win her back. Meanwhile, Justin and Simon try to navigate a new challenge in their relationship and Brittney works on standing up to her mom.

We Make Our Own Light
When a massive blackout threatens to stop the finale from airing, the whole cast has to band together to light up the stage. Reggie attempts a rapprochement with Gabby, while Nick works to convince the network that this show is something special. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast deals with nerves over their final performance and Brittney gets a shocking surprise.
