DS Sam Nixon goes out of her way to get a result on a case involving a guy called Devon who is selling counterfeit DVDs and who she knows is carrying a gun. She turns to Devon's father, revealing to him his son's involvement in the underworld. But when the sting operation he agrees to take part in backfires, he becomes an innocent victim in a gang shooting and Sam faces the responsibility.
