With Arthur and Elizabeth away, Phyllis invites the family and Nanny to celebrate New Year's Eve with her in London. Jack anxiously awaits the arrival of Geoffrey, who has promised to give him a definitive answer about providing crucial financial backing for Poole Aviation. Rosemary returns Phyllis' kindness with previously unknown information about a loved one. Before the arrival of 1937, Phyllis makes a momentous announcement to her guests, but what she doesn't say is even more important.
