Episode 3
It's the third Auction Showdown of the week, as Paul Martin goes head-to-head with all-round antiques ace, Rachel Holland, in a midweek duel in Stourbridge. Their first challenge sees them in Stourbridge Town Hall, offering valuations to locals and snapping up the pieces they reckon will make a profit in the sale room. Will the auctioneers Accept or Reject an early 20th century stained glass window, or a copper-topped tavern table? The second round sees the rivals up against the clock to each find an item they can Flip for Profit at auction, combing the Old Mill Antiques Centre for treasures. In their third challenge, Paul and Rachel have the opportunity to nab a high-value lot to put under the hammer in their Jackpot Duel. Faced with the choice between a 19th century apothecary cabinet and a plush chaise longue, the auctioneers must use their sale room savvy to select the piece they think will get the bidders most excited. It's all to play for in this week's Auction Showdown - but who will come out on top today in the West Midlands?
