Episode 1
Henry Cole takes five teams of metal detectorists to Ardington House. As the teams compete to unearth the most historically important finds, they discover Roman coins, medieval trinkets and a Second World War bomb.

Episode 2
Henry Cole takes five teams of metal detectorists to Layer Marney in Essex. As they compete to dig up the most historically important finds, they unearth medieval hammered coins, modern-day jewellery and a 2,000-year-old Roman brooch, while Henry tries his hand at magnet fishing.

Episode 3
Henry Cole takes five teams of intrepid metal detectorists to Somerleyton in Suffolk for round three of the series. As the teams compete to be crowned detectorists of the year, they unearth rare artefacts and ancient coins.

Episode 4
Henry and the teams are in Hutton in the Forest in Cumbria. In spite of pouring rain and howling winds, they still make some amazing finds, including one very special coin.

Episode 5
The grand finale takes place at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, one of Britain's greatest country houses. After four very close encounters, the five teams are going all out to be crowned champions.
