Season 1
Two of the UK's most acclaimed actors, Steven Mackintosh (Luther, The Sweeney, Inside Men) and Olivia Williams (Anna Karenina, Hyde Park On Hudson, The Sixth Sense) join forces in a brand new ITV drama series, The Halcyon.
The Halcyon tells the story of a bustling and glamorous five star hotel at the centre of London society and a world at war. The eight-part drama series also features Kara Tointon (Mr Selfridge, Sound Of Music Live), Alex Jennings (The Lady In The Van, The Queen), Matt Ryan (Constantine, Arrow), Hermione Corfield (Knights Of The Roundtable: King Arthur, Pride and Prejudice And Zombies) and Mark Benton (Eddie The Eagle, Waterloo Road).
The drama, set in 1940, shows London life through the prism of war and the impact it has on families, politics, relationships and work across every social strata with a soundtrack of music from the era. Multi award-winning singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum

Episodes

Episode 1
Eight-part drama series about a bustling and glamorous grand hotel in wartime London. Lord Hamilton returns to the hotel just as a scandal threatens to engulf it.

Episode 2
Lady Hamilton wants Freddie to use his leave from the RAF to support her with the hotel and it becomes clear she wants to make changed and that Garland is in her sights. The hotel manager insists he's not worried and that he just needs to show how indispensable he is, but Peggy and Feldman aren't so sure, while Charity meets Joe and reveals her plans for revenge, but he refuses to help her, and Emma and Betsey hit the town.

Episode 3
Following the fall of France, guests flood into the hotel - one of whom catches Lady Hamilton's eye.

Episode 4
Joe is offered the opportunity of a lifetime - but finds himself unexpectedly torn. Betsey's mother comes for a surprise stay.

Episode 5
Lady Hamilton is in the mood for adventure. As the Halcyon hosts a society wedding, Emma must step up to oversee it - but there is trouble brewing in the air.

Episode 6
Dawn, and smoke rises from another bombed out night in London. Emma washes out the insides of a Women's Voluntary Service van with her fellow member, Evelyn. Tough, working class Evelyn remarks that in the weeks that Emma's been volunteering, she's really proved her grit. Pleased, exhausted and covered in soot, she returns to begin work all over again at the Halcyon.

Episode 7
Lucian waits at a memorial, commemorating those who lost their lives in WW1. He's joined by Asper, who remarks he looks tired: the perils of a double life.

Episode 8
The Halcyon celebrates its 50th anniversary. Lucian struggles to keep things in order as the pressure mounts. Garland and Lady Hamilton find a cause over which they can unite - and Emma must finally make a choice.
