Alex Polizzi is on the Lincolnshire coast to help couple Mark and Liz who have recently taken on Sea Air Bed & Breakfast, a seven-bedroom 1930s former hotel with breakfast room in the seaside village of Chapel St Leonards, near Skegness. Liz and Mark invested every penny of their savings to fund the new B&B, to start a new life beside the seaside with their daughter Ella.

It's the height of summer in Skegness, a seaside hotspot that attracts nearly two million visitors a year, all in need of accommodation for their summer breaks.Just two months in, the pair have barely unpacked, and are already low on resources. This ambitious couple calls on The Hotel Inspector to help make their dream come to life. After an enthusiastic start, a health set-back for Mark means Liz is left flying solo - another challenge for the couple's morale.

Alex encourages the couple to think fast to maximise profit over the summer months. Some clever packages and an uplift for the dire dining room gives the hotel a fighting chance of surviving the winter months. Alex Polizzi is in the Wiltshire cathedral town of Salisbury to come to the aid of 25-year-old passionate publican Reece.

With hundreds of British pubs closing each year, the landscape for boozers is tougher than it has ever been and Reece doesn't just have one establishment, but two! After ploughing his grandfather's inheritance money into the pubs this is a really personal journey - and with Reece and his partner living above one of the pubs, losing their business could also mean losing their home.

As well as being a budding publican, for six years Reece has trained as a circus performer and teacher and is full of ideas with a bold vision. But the Hotel Inspector is needed to help draw in the punters to share them with.

Alex Polizzi visits East Sussex for her first glamping trip as she comes to the rescue of Anna and Nick and their shepherds huts business. After more than 15 years of hard graft the once-successful site has terrible occupancy rates and is hurtling towards huge losses, so it remains to be seen whether Alex can turn their fortunes around.

This week Alex is in Northern Ireland to come to the rescue of Hotelier Eamon. Twenty miles northeast of Belfast, Billy Andy's sits at the start of the stunning Causeway Coastal Route, visited by around a million tourists each year. The inn includes a sixty seater restaurant and two bars on the ground floor, above which are four ensuite letting rooms, plus a large flat and lounge. But Eamon's business is costing him thousands each month to keep afloat.

Eamon is a passionate businessman and an interior designer, but his dream is fading fast. Lack of trade and staff shortages means the restaurant and bar only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - and Eamon is having to turn his hand to everything.

Eamon is a man with grand schemes to turn the place into a boutique hotel - but Alex has other plans. Set in stunning countryside and with thousands of tourists passing his door each week, why is Eamon not getting a piece of that trade? This has been his lifelong dream and if Alex can't turn his fortunes around fast he will lose it all...

Alex Polizzi is called to help Lantern Theatre and Cafe in Brighton ran by Daniel and Janette, who have been putting on shows at the fringe venue and studio space for 25 years. Their idea for an expansion to create a hub for local artists and a much-needed income generator has left the owners in debt, so Alex sets to work energising the business to try and avoid closure.

This time, Alex Polizzi is called to the rescue of a family business, Fraser's, run by sisters Georgie and Frankie. The establishment, based in the quaint Essex village of Battlesbridge, includes a six-bedroom guest house, tea rooms and an events business, all of which are located within the grounds of the family's antiques business, established in the early 1970's by the sister's grandmother, Sheila.

Living off less than minimum wage and barely turning a profit, for the last five years the sisters have struggled to keep the doors open, and are running out of ideas. Enter The Hotel Inspector, who sees an opportunity to keep this place from going under. Weddings are big business, but the sisters only have three weddings booked in a year and they are not making the margin to help this business survive. Alex needs to show them how to create the best budget wedding venue in the area before this business gets jilted at the altar.
