Doug receives four tickets to a Mets game when he is named driver of the month. Unfortunately, he's forced to take Arthur with him, which leads to some frantic on- and off-the-field antics by Doug.

The Heffernans invite Deacon and Kelly along as they celebrate their anniversary at a romantic inn, but things quickly turn sour when Doug starts feeling inferior to his friend's prodigious lovemaking echoing from the next room.

Doug's enthusiasm over a hot, new restaurant is quickly deflated after Carrie makes an ugly scene at the restaurant and bans Doug from ever eating there again.

Carrie gets jealous when a coworker receives flowers and she accuses Doug of not being romantic anymore; Arthur is picked for jury duty.

Carrie and Doug lock horns over how and where to spend their vacation. She wants to fly to Paris, while he wants to drive out West in a deluxe RV called "the Roadbird Freedom 5000."
