Young, talented, and hungry dancers show up for the challenge, but as Cleo helps Nick, she resolves to give up her spot as dance captain and audition just like the rest of her old teammates. Meanwhile, Richelle, Piper, Amy, Finn and Kingston go to a Radiation performance, where Finn finds his new obsession! And Richelle reconnects with an old friend who might be able to help the team go pro.

Auditions continue, and a new A-troupe is formed, ending the journey to nationals for some, and creating a new beginning for others.

I Dreamed a Dream
Richelle and Shad hold auditions to find a soloist to be the lead in Step Inside. When one of the dancers has conflicting feelings about the team's choice to forgo nationals, they dance out their feelings, which results in Richelle and Shad offering them the role. Meanwhile, Jude finds a way for Cleo to still go to nationals, with disastrous consequences.
