The Nine Lives of Chloe King - Season 1

The new one-hour scripted action drama follows Chloe King, who is looking forward to celebrating her 16th birthday with her friends and single mother -- just like every other year - that is until she starts developing heightened abilities and discovers she's being pursued by a mysterious figure. Chloe soon learns she's part of an ancient race called the Mai, which has been hunted by human assassins for millennia - and that she may ultimately be their only hope for survival.

Still getting used to her new powers, Chloe can't get past the fact that she is responsible for Xavier's death. Will she be able to handle not just her newfound abilities but the life-altering limitations it puts on her relationships with others?

In an effort to distract her from the madness her life has become, Chloe accepts another date from Brian. She knows this not only puts her life in jeopardy, but his, and still she can't resist. However, once Chloe receives a mysterious call on her mother's cell phone from The Rogue, her priorities shift. In turning to the Mai for help to locate The Rogue, Chloe asks Alek to protect her mother, who obliges, thus intensifying their blossoming relationship. Meanwhile, Valentina has instructed Chloe to stay at her home under the watch of Jasmine, in order to protect her remaining eight lives. Chloe knows she must follow orders, but when family and friends become involved, the teenager takes matters into her own hands, possibly endangering the existence of the Mai and herself.

Burbank, CA - To ensure Chloe is capable of protecting herself at all times, Alek and Jasmine train her every night in order to teach her to trust her instincts when faced with danger. Not only does Chloe have night training, she also notices the development of a new power that leads her to once again put her life in danger for a human. Will Chloe finally realize it is too dangerous to protect her human friends and cut them out of her life, or will she continue to disobey the Mai and be the kind of Uniter she chooses to be?

Burbank, CA - As if being responsible for the San Francisco Mai wasn't enough pressure, Chloe meets Nikki and Lilah, who are both members of the South American Mai. The two girls invite Chloe out for a night of dancing, which she accepts, but Jasmine is suspicious of their motives. As their visit continues, Chloe becomes increasingly frustrated with the way Nikki and Lilah view human life, potentially creating a divide between the different Mai prides.

Chloe's excitement at attending the Rezza Capital art gala with Brian is offset by an overwhelming sense of danger. It isn't until she receives a call that Amy is in trouble that she runs from Brian yet again - but not before he reveals something that could change their relationship forever. Will Brian's secret allow Chloe to finally open up, or will it force her to leave him behind for good?

Unfortunately for Chloe, The Order isn't her only mortal enemy; there are many others who would like nothing more than to see her dead. Will this newfound enemy take another life from Chloe King?

Tension in the King household is at an all-time high due to Meredith's increasing frustration with Chloe's penchant for secrecy. Aware that her relationship with her mother is suffering, Chloe must decide whether she will finally confess her biggest secret to the most important person in her life.
