Captain James Ellison, US Army Rangers, is rescued after spending eighteen months on a mission in Peru. Five years later, he is a detective for the Cascade, Washington police when he starts to have problems with his senses: seeing and hearing things others cannot. When he loses a suspect as a result, he wants answers and finds them in an Anthropology grad student named Blair Sandburg.
Siege
Garrett Kincaid, leader of the Sunrise Patriots, invades the Cascade PD building in a bid to free two of his men convicted of a series of bombings.
Killers
Ellison is determined to hunt down the man who killed his friend, Danny. It doesn't matter that the suspect, Tommy Juno, has an air tight alibi or that Ellison's senses are fading in and out.
The Debt
The destruction of a drug lab is the first step in an all out gang war unless Ellison can figure out who is really behind it.
Cypher
Ellison investigates a serial killer who drowns his victims and then impersonates them.
Night Train
Ellison and Sandburg must bring a reluctant witness to Cascade. The witness refuses to fly and Ellison's senses are acting up do to a dose of cold medicine.
Rogue
A rogue CIA agent steals a canister of Ebola in order to coerce Ellison into helping steal a top secret plane.
Love and Guns
After a foiled bank robbery, Ellison tracks down the source of the high-powered weaponry the bank robbers were using. The case is complicated by a by-the-book AFT agent and Sandburg becoming romantically entangled with the daughter of Ellison's chief suspect.
Attraction
Ellison is distracted from an investigation into a series of jewelry robberies by a woman with whom he has a primal attraction.
Vow of Silence
Sandburg takes Ellison to a monastery as a vacation and a chance to recharge his Sentinel abilities. The vacation is cut short, however, when someone starts killing the monks.
