In this never-before seen filmitization of Eric Jonrosh's best-selling novel The Spoils Before Dying, jazz musician Rock Banyon is accused of the murder of his former lover, Fresno Foxglove. Blues for Barnaby
Rock links up with Delores in Actual Mexico City, but Delores delivers a cryptic warning. The musician eventually heads back to LA to try and get a lead on Stymagian, and has chocolate-banana cake with the police.

That's Jazz
After Rock freaks out on The Artie Mann Show, he discovers that Fresno's sax player has turned up dead. However, he's holding the wrong sax, and Rock figures that it's the key to the mystery of who killed Fresno.

Fear Steps In
After a helicopter gunman takes out Kenton, Rock goes to Stymagian's house in the hills and meets the scientist's daughter.

The Trip Trap
After surviving Caligarious' attempt to kill him and make it look like a drug overdose, Rock uses a clever pants analogy to convince Chip and Kermit to let him go. Everything becomes clear, but can Rock track down the killer in time?

Rock confronts the man behind Fresno's murder and is forced to decide whether he'll live free as a jazz musician... and die the same way.
