Tenerife Blue Trail
This 97km race climbs from Tenerife's coast to the summit of Teide, the highest mountain in Spain. Starting at midnight and with just 23 hours to complete this epic journey, competitors must climb a total of 5000 metres and cross the beautiful but treacherous volcanic landscape of Tenerife: one of trail running's classic routes and ultimate challenges. From ocean to summit then back to the ocean, for most it's the dream of a lifetime to complete a course like this, while for the professional runners it's a massive test of endurance, tactics and mental strength.
