1920s and 1930s
Three families experience family life during the Interwar years. They experience the highs of the "roaring twenties", followed by the lows of the Great Depression.
The Home Front
The three families experience family life on the home front during World War II. They must pull together to survive and do their bit for the war effort.
1960s
The street is introduced to a new family, and the Taylors leave the high life behind.
1970s
Daily life in the 70s is turned upside down by strikes, power cuts and women's liberation.
