It's Malik's birthday and he's being a brat about the kind of party and gifts he wants. Meanwhile, with Miranda's help, Calvin invests in the barbershop and becomes a partner.

Kevin and Malik skip school with the intention of seducing their girlfriends. Meanwhile, Peanut uses the Paynes as his family to impress a girl.

After a successful bake sale, Claretha convinces Ella to start her own business, and pretty soon, things get out of hand. Meanwhile, Malik enters a talent show to impress a girl.

Meet the Lucases
The Paynes meet Miranda's family, and in the middle of a heated discussion between Curtis and Calvin, Curtis has a heart attack and collapses.

Out on a Limb
Calvin is ready to propose and buys a ring for Miranda that is more than he can afford. Ella and Claretha go with Jazmine and her Girl Scout troop to the mountains, and end up getting the troop lost.

Can't Buy Me Love
Calvin makes plans at a fancy restaurant to propose to Miranda but starts to question if he'll be rich enough to support her.

After two attempts at proposing, Calvin decides to keep it simple and propose at home. But it gets complicated when Jazmine loses the ring while playing with it.

Unexpected Results
Jazmine gets a perfect score on an aptitude test which wreaks havoc on the family. CJ and Tanya break up.

Curtis and Malik are left to chaperon Jazmine's slumber party when CJ and Janine get held up at the barber shop.
