The Dead Star
An abandoned corpse is identified to be a famous movie star and the news gains huge publicity. In the past, a beautiful young girl, Velonie, has her interests torn between her secret love, Tony, and her jealous fiancé, Vignesh.
Vivek Takes Charge
The murder investigation gains steam as sub-inspector Vivek is assigned to the case. Vivek suspects Vignesh and Tony. He links the place, Ottaparai, to the murder and interviews an old lady. In the past, Velonie instantly warms up with an elderly novelist, Ki Sebastian who checks into the lodge run by her mother.
Brothers in Crime
Vivek takes the three sons of the old lady for an enquiry after Dr Paulraj, the autopsy doctor, has reasons to believe that they could be linked to Velonie's murder. Based on Vignesh's call records and a discussion with Velonie's friend, Vivek suspects Vignesh again.
Closed, but Unresolved
The police pins the murder on Vignesh and closes the case. There is a public backlash against the police for their hasty conclusion. Vivek is not at peace and wants to do justice to the victim inspite of his obsession with the case affecting his personal life. Jones, the mansion help, gives a lead about Velonie.

The confessions of the old lady in Ottaparai again points to the three brothers. Her deeply disturbing narrative puts Velonie in a scandalous position. A new suspect, a tall and muscular man, emerges. Vivek manages to capture the three brothers but pays a heavy price for it. Velonie's new scandalous image stirs up the public involvement once again.
A Fictitious Fact
Ki Sebastian, determined to clean up the public's image of Velonie, releases a book on Veloine's life and death. Starting from her childhood, it builds up to the recent times when she falls for a mysterious tall and muscular man. He identifies this man as the murderer. His readers readily buy into it but not Vivek. Vivek pursues a lead given by the three brothers – Valan.
The Vadhandhi Continues
Vivek follows his gut instinct about Valan though no evidence links him to the murder. Vivek decides to give up. A chance clue awakens Vivek's mind leading him to a revelation. But is it too late to save Velonie's legacy?
