After a long photo shoot, Valerie Bertinelli kicks back and cooks for her best friend and husband, Tom Vitale, an Italian meal of Bruschetta, Herb-Roasted Baby Beets, Chicken Cutlets with Arugula and Lemon Dressing, and for dessert, a Chocolate Mint Sundae with Homemade Chocolate Sauce. After a morning spent at an adoption event for homeless animals, Valerie Bertinelli uses new and old family recipes to throw a sparkling cocktail party for her fellow volunteers, serving Pureed Artichoke Crostini with Lime Salt, Mint Cucumber Soup, Italian Finger Sandwiches and Deviled Eggs Three Ways. Her husband, Tom, adds to the festivities with his Summer Negroni.
