Episodes

A Dream Is Born From History
Experts travel to Norway to study the skeletal remains of centuries-old Viking ships and use their knowledge to construct the biggest Viking recreation ship ever.

The Trial of Trials
The ship has to deal with a series of challenges, both onshore and at sea, before reaching England. In England, new discoveries offer insights into the scope of Viking influence.

Starting Over
The builders race against time to get the ship ready for departure after their previous, nearly disastrous voyage. Despite all their problems, 4000 volunteers come to their aid after their struggles make the news.

The North
The Draken and its crew finally get sailing after a lengthy period of construction and refitting. They face rough weather off the Faroe Islands before they make their way to Iceland and the landing site of Erik the Red.

Iceberg Alley
The crew face the looming threat of icebergs and rough winds in a section of the ocean known as Iceberg Alley. Their challenges are only made worse by their miserable living conditions, which provide little respite from the peril they face.

To the Heart of America
The Draken looks to answer the question of whether Vikings could have made their way to North America as it heads towards New York City.
