De geur van het paradijs
Vier jaar na de val van de Twin Towers lijkt West-Europa ‘aan de beurt’. Afgelopen zomer werd vooral het Engeland van Tony Blair geconfronteerd met de gewelddadige overtuigingen van het radicale reborn islamisme. En weer blijkt een patroon zichtbaar in de daderprofielen: ‘de geur van het paradijs’. Nu ook Nederland de adem inhoudt is het eens te meer tijd om verdieping aan te brengen in onze kennis van de nieuwe vijand. Voor Tegenlicht reden om het tweeluik De geur van het paradijs te herhalen, dat in fraaie beelden op zoek gaat naar het voor ons zo uitheemse denken en geloven. Een denken en geloven dat inmiddels tot veel terreur heeft geleid, en voor permanente dreiging zorgt.
