Rebeca es la nueva profesora de Historia. Ha llegado para encargarse de las clases de Elsa, de baja maternal. Sin embargo, parece que la nueva maestra no tendrá un buen comienzo con sus compañeros, después de que Martín se hiciese un esguince en el bosque y ella no se molestase en ayudarle. Marcos ha mandado una nota a sus amigos para citarles en el bosque. Al menos eso es lo que ellos creen aunque, en realidad, Marcos está muy lejos de allí. En la clase de esgrima alguien le ha retado y, esta vez, no es un juego ni un ejercicio rutinario, comprobará demasiado tarde que su contrincante le está atacando de verdad. Julia e Iván tampoco están en mejor situación: alguien les ha encerrado en el cuarto de calderas y la temperatura se está disparando. Si no consiguen salir pronto, morirán. Tampoco están a salvo Vicky, Carol y Roque. Alguien ha comenzado a dispararles. Están intentando matarles a todos. Fermín, destrozado, asiste al entierro de su madre. María se ha acercado hasta allí para acompañarle en esos momentos tan duros pero se ha encontrado con algo muy diferente a lo que esperaba: Fermín ya tiene una mujer a su lado consolándole y es evidente que son más que amigos. Mientras, María permanece ajena al dilema de Iván, que acaba de descubrir que es su madre pero no sabe cómo afrontar la situación. La policía está buscando a Don Joaquín, desaparecido desde La fiesta de las dos lunas. Lucas, aterrado por la presencia de la policía, se siente profundamente culpable por todo lo ocurrido. Sabe que su padre mató a Don Joaquín pero está convencido de que la culpa es suya por haberlo soñado y haber provocado, en cierto modo, que todo sucediera. Además, ha escuchado a Elsa diciendo que lo peor de la situación es la incertidumbre, no saber qué ha pasado, así que decide contarle a la jefa de estudios toda la verdad.
